SilverTowne Trademark Augustus Saint-Gaudens Replica 1oz .999 Silver Medallion with Eagle Reverse
Augustus Saint-Gaudens (last name is also refered to as “St Gaudens”) is widely known for designing the twenty-dollar gold coin minted from 1907-1933. This replica silver medallion is modeled after Augustus’ original striding-Liberty design which was is now currently used on modern American Gold Eagle Bullion coins.
The obverse design features a likeness of lady liberty carrying a torch and olive branch with sun rays in the background and stars lining the outer edge of the medallion. The reverse design has an eagle perched on a branch with the weight and purity designation of “ONE OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER” curved around the top of the piece along with the SilverTowne trademark logo beneath the eagle’s talons.
