The ancient Chinese legend of the 1,000 Mile Horse is famous around the world thanks to its profound philosophical meaning. This magnificent horse was so strong and swift it could run distances far greater than other horses, and no mortal man could mount it.

However, Bo Le, a renowned expert and mentor of exceptional horses, trained it to reach its full potential. Since then, the legendary horse symbolizes the hidden talents of unique individuals who have not yet met their Bo Le.

Each 2026 Year of the Horse 1oz Gold Minted Bar is meticulously struck by PAMP from 1oz of 99.99% fine gold.

DESIGN

The reverse depicts a powerful horse in full stride, symbolising the traits of those born in the Year of the Horse – independence, confidence, energy, and determination. Framed by traditional cloud motifs and a rugged landscape, the design represents the legendary “thousand-mile horse”, a Chinese symbol of speed, endurance, and perseverance. The reverse also features “馬”, the traditional Chinese character for horse.

The obverse side design depicts the new moon, the beginning of the Lunar New Year. Each of the twelve animals of the lunar cycle is portrayed as a large star encircling it. Throughout the day, a two-hour window of potency is allotted to each animal, and the horse, which places eighth clockwise, is at its most powerful between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Its zenith is marked with Chinese characters that translate as 12 p.m. The obverse also depicts the PAMP mintmark, weight, fineness and unique serial number.

PRESENTATION

Each PAMP 2026 Year of the Horse 1oz gold minted bullion bar is provided in an auspicious red coloured CertiPAMP card. The back has the bars details as well as the unique serial number. Each bar comes with a 2026 Lunar Legends Year of the Horse themed sleeve.
