About the Design:
Canadian artist John Mantha has created an inspiring design that honours the many seaborne expeditions that explored the West Coast during the 18th century with a special tribute to George Vancouver (1757-1794), as Vancouver’s exhaustive surveys of that finally provided the information landlocked explorers needed to reach the Pacific Ocean through the mountains. The Aboriginal man in the design acknowledges the many First Nations communities that Vancouver met, and who provided critical information on the land.
Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a custom beauty box.
