2014 Year of the Horse 10oz Silver Coin

Celebrating the Year of the Horse, the seventh animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, this 1oz silver bullion coin is a great investment choice from The Perth Mint.

Meticulously struck from 99.9% pure silver, the coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

DESIGN

Each coin’s reverse depicts a representation of two horses standing within a stylised Chinese landscape. The Chinese character for ‘horse’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Horse’ also appear in the design with The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark.

The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2014 year-date and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse of each coin.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint, located in Perth, Western Australia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious mints in the world, with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. It was established in 1899 as a branch of Britain's Royal Mint in response to the discovery of rich gold deposits in Western Australia.
