2023 Mother & Baby Kangaroo 2oz Silver Coin

We are excited to release this 2oz silver bullion piedfort coin featuring a mother and baby kangaroo.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 2oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and has a mintage of 75,000.

DESIGN

The coin portrays an image of a kangaroo and its joey in scrubland. Included in the design are radial lines suggestive of the setting sun, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The coin bears The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse, featuring the Jody Clark effigy supplemented with the dates of Her Majesty’s reign. As well as radial lines, the obverse also includes the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination and 2023 year-date.

Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.

The Mother & Baby Kangaroo 2023 2oz Silver Bullion Piedfort Coin is presented without a capsule in protective, convenient tubes of 10 coins. There are 10 tubes to a monster box.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint, located in Perth, Western Australia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious mints in the world, with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century.
