2026 Australian Swan 1oz Gold Coin

The Perth Mint is delighted to present the Australian Swan 2026 1oz Gold Bullion Coin.

Swans are commonly seen in wetlands, river estuaries, bays and great lakes throughout Australia, from the east to west coast. Where wetlands areas are permanent, the swans are thought to be sedentary. However, if the wetlands dry out, they are capable of taking flight in search of suitable habitat. They have been sighted in semi-arid region including Central Australia, where there are semi-permanent and permanent waterholes. The Australian Swan is a limited mintage bullion coin series featuring elegant designs of the waterbird that glides majestically across the estuaries, inlets and rivers in which it lives and breeds.

Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the Australian Swan 2026 1oz Gold Bullion Coin.

DESIGN

The coin’s reverse depicts a magnificent swan soaring above a picturesque lake set amongst a tranquil countryside. Behind the swan, a brilliant sky stretches across the horizon with drifting clouds. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘2026 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN GOLD SWAN’ and a ‘P10’ mintmark, signifying the tenth anniversary of the swan design released by The Perth Mint.

The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design. It is only detectable under a magnifying glass.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint, located in Perth, Western Australia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious mints in the world, with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century.
