2024 10c King Charles III Effigy Coin Roll – Non-Premium Roll
Tradition holds that Australian coins bear an effigy of the reigning Monarch on their obverse. Reflecting the recent succession of His Majesty Kings Charles III, Australia’s coins are undergoing a transformation not seen for seven decades and one that has not been experienced in the history of our decimal currency.
As an era comes to a close, the new effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Daniel Thorne will assume its place on the obverse for Australia’s legal tender coins. In keeping centuries-old tradition, as the successor, the effigy of His Majesty faces left, the opposite direction from his predecessor.
Struck by Royal Australian Mint from CuNi, these 10c coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and no more than 23,022 of these non-premium rolls will be issued.
DESIGN
The reverse of the coin has the standard 10c design by Stuart Devlin featuring an iconic Australian animal, the Lyre Bird as well as the monetary denomination.
The obverse features the new effigy of His Majesty King Charles III sculpted by designer Daniel Thorne as well as the 2024 year-date.
PRESENTATION
All rolls are guaranteed to contain 40x 10c coins in a random heads/heads or tails/tails configuration housed in mint branded paper.
