2021 Australian Kookaburra 1/10oz .9999 Gold Bullion Coin

More than 30 years old and as strong as ever, the Perth Mint’s Australian Kookaburra is an iconic coin series featuring annual designs of one of Australia’s most recognisable birds. The kookaburra can be heard hollering its distinctive laughing call across Australia – from the outback to the backyard.

Meticulously struck from 99.99% pure gold, the coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and have a mintage of 15,000.

DESIGN

The coin’s reverse portrays a kookaburra sitting on a branch of a gum tree with leaves and seedpods. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the 2021 year-date and the weight and purity are also included in the design.

The obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

Each bullion coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
