The Queen’s Beasts Completer 1oz Gold Bar
The Queen’s Beasts are ten heraldic creatures that symbolise the royal ancestry of Elizabeth II. As the world watched the coronation of the young queen in 1953, the beasts stood guard as statues outside Westminster Abbey. To honour the longest-reigning monarch in British history, The Queen’s Beasts have been brought together on this square bullion bar that includes Mary Gillick’s coinage portrait of Elizabeth II at its centre.
Minted from 1oz of 99.99% pure gold, The Royal Mint will produce no more than 5,000 of The Queen’s Beasts 1oz gold bullion bars.
DESIGN
The reverse of the bar features all ten of The Queen’s Beasts united in a protective circle around the first definitive coinage portrait of Elizabeth II, designed by Mary Gillick. The reverse also features the flowers of all four nations exactly as they appeared on Elizbeth II’s first-ever commemorative coin as well as the inscription “THE QUEEN’S BEASTS”.
The obverse features the The Royal Mint logo as well as the weight and fineness on top of a chain mail patterned background. Unique to the gold version, a unique serial number is present on every 1oz gold bar.
PRESENTATION
Individual bars are provided in secure The Royal Mint blister packaging.
