Britannia 5g .9999 Gold Minted Bar
First introduced by the Romans, Britannia has long stood as a powerful emblem of strength and resilience. Representing the female personification of Britain, she was adopted by King Charles II for the nation’s coinage.
Over the years, Britannia has remained a constant figure on British coins, evolving into a trusted symbol on bullion coins and bars worldwide. In line with the 2021 security updates to our Britannia bullion coins, we have now integrated three state-of-the-art security features into our Britannia gold bullion minted bars.
DESIGN
The reverse of the bar features Jody Clark’s contemporary portrayal of Britannia, shown in a Corinthian helmet, wielding a trident and shield emblazoned with the Union flag. The reverse also features a latent image, surface animation, micro-text and the inscription “BRITANNIA” in the bottom left of the bar.
The obverse features The Royal Mint’s name and logo, the 5g weight as well as the 999.9 fine gold purity. Each bar has its own unique serial number. The obverse features a wavy pattern with a more prominent wave design located at the bottom.
PRESENTATION
Each Britannia 5g gold minted bullion bar is presented in a ultra secure, Royal Mint Britannia-branded blister packaging that includes a unique QR code to authenticate your bar.
