Meticulously struck from 99.99% pure silver, the Australian Kookaburra Bullion Coin Series was originally issued in 1990. The new 2019 design features a kookaburra perched on a tree branch protruding from a gently rippling waterway, with a setting sun and native foliage forming a stylised background.

Available in 1 kilo, 10oz, and 1oz sizes, the larger sizes have an unlimited mintage whilst the 1oz has a maximum of 500,000 coins. All coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and for the first time, feature Jody Clark’s contemporary portrait of the Queen, who is depicted wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem. For the first time each of the bullion Kookaburra coins also include a helpful security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the reverse design.
