2022 South Korean Tiger 1oz .999 Gold Round
2022 brings the 7th design in the South Korean Tiger gold round series. Since its inception in 2016, the South Korean Tiger Medals have gained a strong global reputation thanks to their fresh yearly designs, low mintages, and unique security features.
KOMSCO will release no more than 1,000 of the 2022 South Korean Tiger 1oz Gold Round.
DESIGN
The obverse depicts a tiger cub on rocks on Seoraksan mountain, the largest mountain in the Taebaek mountain range out of South Korea. A cable car between mountains can be seen in the background. Features the inscriptions “KOREAN TIGER 2022” as well as “SEORAKSAN” and the 1oz weight.
The reverse features the Korean Peninsular embodied in “Hangul,” the Korean alphabet over a tiger print. The KOMSCO logo is also incorporated into the design along with .999 purity shown with latent letter changing technology. The inscriptions “REPUBLIC OF KOREA” and “FINE GOLD 999” are around the rim of the coin.
PRESENTATION
Each 2022 South Korean Tiger 1oz gold rounds are presented in a capsule inside of a black KOMSCO box with a tiger print. The box is presented inside of a black KOMSCO tiger print sleeve and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
