2022 The Simpsons – Christmas Season’s Greetings 1oz .9999 Silver Coloured Coin in Card

The Simpsons premiered as a half-hour series in 1989 and instantly became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon, now seen across 200 countries in 27 languages. In 2018, The Simpsons reached an incredible milestone becoming the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history.

Struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.

DESIGN

The reverse of the coin depicts images of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie surrounded by a festive wreath. Included in the design is the inscription ‘SEASON’S GREETINGS’. The design also includes Matt Groening’s signature and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2022 year-date, the weight and fineness and the monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse.

PRESENTATION

The coin is housed in a specialty designed card which features a fold-out stand for upright display.
