2024 $2 Tooth Fairy Uncirculated Coin in Card – AlBr
The Tooth Fairy is a childhood icon and is known to collect children’s lost baby teeth and replace them with a coin to recognise the important childhood milestone. Celebrated in Australia since 1920, the Tooth Fairy has visited millions of households across the country. This coin in card will be treasured by children excited to lose their teeth.
2024 is the fifth year the Royal Australian Mint has launched a Tooth Fairy product, following its successful debut in 2020. The 2024 release features a fun coin design and packaging illustrations.
Australian’s have been celebrating the Tooth Fairy tradition since 1920. The Tooth Fairy usually visits overnight to collect the child’s tooth and replace it with a coin. While notes are sometimes given by parents, coins tend to be favoured by children and are traditionally given.
DESIGN
The reverse of the coin features a playful fairy sitting on a mushroom with elaborate script that matches the text on the packaging. The reverse also features the monetary denomination.
The obverse features the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III as well as the 2024 year-date.
PRESENTATION
Each coin is presented in a compact Tooth Fairy themed presentation card.
