2018 Australian Kangaroo Design

The reverse of each coin features two kangaroos bounding against a stylised depiction of a rural landscape with the inscription AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO. The design also includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the 2018 year-date, and the coin’s weight and fineness.

Australian Legal Tender

Each coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, and features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination on its obverse. 

Issue Limit

The Perth Mint will issue no more than 500 of the 2018 Australian Kangaroo Gold Proof Five Coin Sets.

Each set is housed in a classic Perth Mint timber presentation case within a themed, shipper and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
