Tombstone Silver Nugget 10oz .999 Silver Bullion Bar
The Town of Tombstone in Arizona was founded in 1877 by a prospector named Ed Schieffelin. Ed was staying at Camp Huachuca as part of a scouting expedition against the Apache Indians. During his time there he would venture out into the wilderness “looking for rocks”, all the while ignoring the warnings he received from the soldiers at the camp. They would tell him, “Ed, the only stone you will find out there will be your tombstone”. Well, Ed did find his stone. And it was silver. So, remembering the words of warning from the soldiers, he named his first mine The Tombstone.
The history and folklore continues today with these silver bars. Pure .999 silver pulled out of the ground and carefully and uniquely crafted by fellow Arizonans in the Scottsdale Mint Foundry just 3 hours north of Tombstone.
DESIGN
The reverse features “TOMBSTONE” with “ARIZONA TERRITORY” situated below that on the left of the bar. To the right has an inscription of “SILVER NUGGET”.
The obverse has “10oz TROY .999 FINE SILVER” with the Scottsdale Mint mark located on the far right.
No two bars will look exactly alike, the bars are crafted to be unique and each one varies slightly in shape and features, including the dimples in the bar.
PRESENTATION
Each bar is presented in a fabric bag accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
