FORWARD MOMENTUM
Following the sell-out success of the 2018 1oz silver bullion coin portraying the world’s second largest bird, The Perth Mint is pleased to announce its 2019 Australian Emu featuring an appealing new design.
The coin’s reverse portrays a pair of emus in an arid Australian landscape. Superb detailing highlights the emus’ shaggy-looking plumage, which helps them survive the extreme changes in temperature that can be experienced in the outback. Also included on the reverse design is the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN EMU’, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark and the weight and fineness.
The obverse depicts the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. Struck from 99.99% pure silver, this remarkable Australian legal tender coin has a maximum mintage of 30,000.
AUTHENTICATION FEATURE
Each coin includes an authentication feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Contained within the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN’ on the reverse of the coin, this letter is only detectable under a magnifying glass.
PRESENTATION
Each bullion coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
