KANGAROOS JUMP TO MEET 2019

Issued annually since 1987, the range of trusted releases offers an impressive choice of pure gold, silver and platinum coins, each authorised by the Australian Government as official legal tender.

Continuing its tradition of superb craftsmanship, iconic artistry and outstanding value, The Perth Mint has revealed Australia’s official bullion coin program for 2019.

Of the range of five 2019 Australian Kangaroo Gold Bullion Coins, the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, and 1/10oz sizes showcase a new design featuring a kangaroo standing on a mound of grass with the sun and stylised trees as a backdrop.

Each coin’s reverse includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, the 2019 year-date, weight and fineness and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

All coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and bear the new Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and monetary denomination on the obverse.

AUTHENTICATION FEATURE
This coin includes an authentication feature on the reverse in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter. Contained within the coin’s inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, this letter is only detectable under a magnifying glass. The authentication feature is designed to make it significantly more difficult for the coin to be counterfeited.

Each bullion coin is presented in a protective acrylic capsule.
