2026 Australian Commonwealth Games Three Coin Set
Glasgow, Scotland welcomes back the Commonwealth Games in 2026. Approximately 3,000 athletes and para-athletes from 74 nations and territories will compete across ten sports in a new reimagined games format.
The ten sports: 3×3 Basketball and 3×3 Wheelchair Basketball, Artistic Gymnastics, Athletics and Para Athletics, Bowls and Para Bowls, Boxing, Judo, Netball, Swimming and Para Swimming, Track Cycling and Para Track Cycling, Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting.
Struck by the Royal Australian Mint from AlBr, these $2 coins are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and have no mintage limit.
DESIGN
The reverse of the each coin features a different design representing one of the sports that will be featured at the Commonwealth Games. Each coin also includes the inscriptions “TEAM AUS” and “COMMONWEALTH GAMES”.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, monetary denomination and the 2026 year-date.
