The Perth Mint’s Australian Bullion Coin Program has been dedicated to providing investors with unrivalled quality, purity and assurance for more than 30 years. Issued annually since 1987, the range of trusted releases offers an impressive choice of pure gold, silver and platinum coins, each authorised by the Australian Government as official legal tender.
Each coin’s reverse features a single kangaroo with the rays of a rising sun, designed by Dr. Stuart Devlin, along with the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’, the 2011 year-date, weight and fineness and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
