2024 HM King Charles III Effigy Premium Roll Six Coin Set – AlBr / CuNi

The Royal Australian Mint is excited to offer this complete set of 2024 year dated circulating coin rolls in uncirculated condition. Marking the first time that the new effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Daniel Thorne will appear on the obverse of all six standard circulating coins.

In 2023, The Royal Australian Mint announced the new effigy of His Majesty King Charles III that would begin to appear on Australian legal tender coins. This was a historic moment, not seen in over seventy years as the effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II gave way to that of her son, Australia’s new Monarch.

Tradition holds that all Australian coins bear an effigy of the reigning Monarch on their obverse. The new effigy of His Majesty The King by Daniel Thorne follows another tradition by facing left, the opposite direction of their immediate predecessor.

Each coin is struck by Royal Australian Mint and are issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 with no more than 35,000 of these sets being produced.

DESIGN

Each of the coin’s reverse features the iconic designs of Australia’s 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins.

The obverse of each coin features the new effigy of King Charles III by designer Daniel Thorne as well as the 2024 year-date.

PRESENTATION

Each coin roll comes guaranteed in a heads-tails format in mint branded paper sealed with a tamper-proof sticker. All six coins are provided in a Royal Australian Mint presentation box.
