Geiger has recently increased the security features of its silver products to prevent against counterfeiting in the modern era. These bars join the long lineup of silver products from Geiger that feature these new security improvements. Examples of security features go beyond verifiable serial numbers to black light symbols and other textured surfaces.
The reverse side of the bars has a pattern of the hallmark of our mint, the Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitung (LEV). Furthermore, the reverse side has a blue coating with an individual serial number and another centred placed hallmark. This blue coating has the special feature that it is glowing under UV lighting.
The bars are sealed with foil and contain a certificate of authenticity.
Therefore this silver bar is not only a very secure investment product, it is also an excellent and unique gift.
Flip the bar over to the reverse and you’ll find a repeating logo rhombus that features LEV in the centre of it. On the lower portion of the bars reverse you’ll find a rectangle stamped into the bar that features the unique serial number of each individual product using a one-letter, seven-number code. In the centre, visible only under black light, you’ll find another LEV rhombus that serves as a security feature for the bar.
Geiger Edelmetalle was originally founded in 1218 as part of Germany’s oldest silver mining and trading. Leipzig and the surrounding region was the heart of German silver production for centuries, and today Geiger operates various facilities in the region to produce silver bullion.
