Struck by The Perth Mint from 10g of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality, the rectangle-shaped coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of the Cook Islands.
The coin’s reverse celebrates the 2011 Year of the Rabbit with a design portraying grey-coloured rabbits and the Chinese character for ‘rabbit’. The reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2011 year-date.
No more than 3,000 of these coins will be released.
