Comprising the 2019 Australian kangaroo, koala and kookaburra high relief coins, this collection displays three of the most popular designs for the year.
Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality and is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The Perth Mint will release no more than 1,000 of the Australian High Relief 2019 1oz Silver Proof Three-Coin Collection.
DESIGN
The Australian Kangaroo coin’s reverse depicts an adult kangaroo crouching in front of a rural landscape, framed by stylised trees under the Australian sun. The design also includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KANGAROO’.
The Australian Koala coin’s reverse design portrays one of Australia’s best-loved marsupials sitting astride a eucalyptus tree. The inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’ is also included.
The Australian Kookaburra coin’s reverse features a kookaburra perched on a branch during sunset. The branch is submerged in a river, which is lined with wetland grasses and a gumtree. The design also includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA’.
The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the 2019 year-date, and the weight and fineness also appear on the reverse of each coin. The obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
The high relief reverse and obverse of each coin are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
PRESENTATION
The three-coin collection is housed in a display case within a themed shipper, and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
