“Indian Head” cents were officially produced by the Philadelphia United States Mint and later on at San Francisco from 1859-1909. Designed by James B. Longacre featuring a native American wearing an Indian Headdress with an oak Wreath with Shield on the Reverse.
This replica design in 1 oz of pure silver takes the main likeness of the Native American in an Indian Headdress on the obverse with word “LIBERTY” adorning the Headdress, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” circling the out edge of the design, then finishing out with the current year-date of “2019” beneath the Indian profile. The reverse then features the likeness of the Oak Wreath and Small Shield from the original cent with the denomination of ONE CENT replaced with the weight and purity designation of “ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER” in the center.
