2022 South Korean Phoenix 1oz .999 Gold Bullion Round
Korean Phoenix is the ‘Bong-Hwang’, a mythical bird that has been praised since ancient times. The Phoenix, along with the dragon, symbolized the emperor and represented nobility and auspiciousness. Since 1967, it has been used as the presidential seal of South Korea.
Produced from 1oz of 99.9% fine gold, KOMSCO will mint no more than 1,000 of these 2022 Phoenix 1oz gold rounds.
DESIGN
A rendition of South Korea’s presidential seal is located on the reverse of 2022 1 oz Gold South Korean Phoenix Medals. In this image, we see the Korean symbol known as the Taegeuk surrounded by two Phoenix. Just above this image, there is an impressionistic depiction of another Phoenix. You will also see inscriptions on the reverse reading Republic of Korea, KOMSCO, 1 oz Fine Gold .999.
A Phoenix is depicted on the obverse of 2022 1 oz Gold South Korean Phoenix Medals. In this design, the bird has its wings spread wide and faces toward the right. Additional design elements include a latent security feature and inscriptions reading Korean Phoenix 2022.
