2025 Australian Emu 1oz .9999 Coloured Silver Coin

The Perth Mint is delighted to present the Australian Emu 2025 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.

Found through Australia’s coastal regions, deserts, plains, forests and mountains, the emu is the world’s second largest bird. With wings that are too small for it to fly, the six-foot creature is equipped with long and powerful legs, enabling it to sprint at speeds of nearly 50km per hour. The emus’ primitive feathers, which resemble coarse hair, help them survive the extreme changes in temperature that can be experienced in the Australian outback.

Each coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver and issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,500 of the Australian Emu 2025 1oz Silver Coloured Coin.

DESIGN

The coin’s coloured reverse portrays an emu standing on a tropical red sand beach watching the crashing surf. Also includes the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN EMU’ and a ‘P125’ mintmark, as well as the weight, fineness and 2025 year-date.

The coin’s obverse depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.

PRESENTATION

The Australian Emu 2025 1oz Silver Coloured Coin is presented in a classic display case with a clear acrylic lid within a themed shipper and is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint, located in Perth, Western Australia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious mints in the world, with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. It was established in 1899 as a branch of Britain's Royal Mint in response to the discovery of rich gold deposits in Western Australia.
