Buffalo Silver Rounds are one of the all-time most popular rounds available. American sculptor James Earle Fraser designed the original Buffalo Nickel in 1913, and it became an immediate success. Fraser wanted a design that would be uniquely American. His roots in American western culture ran deep, which found its highest expression in the features of his fresh design.

Fraser’s sculpting of the bust of a Native American man for the obverse engraving was brilliant. Equally, the depiction of an American bison (buffalo) on the reverse matched his chosen theme perfectly! This Buffalo Silver Round depicts a replica of the original obverse and reverse designs.
