The Perth Mint 1oz Cast Gold Bar is a traditional investment-grade gold bullion bar produced by The Perth Mint in Australia. It contains 1 troy ounce (31.11 g) of 99.99% pure gold and is made using a casting process where molten gold is poured into a mold, giving each bar a slightly unique, handcrafted look. Buying cast bullion (bars made by pouring molten metal into molds) has a few distinct advantages over minted bullion (machine-pressed bars) and coins, depending on your goals.

ABOUT THE PERTH MINT

The Perth Mint, located in Perth, Western Australia, is one of the oldest and most prestigious mints in the world, with a rich history that dates back to the late 19th century. It was established in 1899 as a branch of Britain's Royal Mint in response to the discovery of rich gold deposits in Western Australia. Its primary purpose was to refine gold mined in the region and to mint gold sovereigns and half sovereigns for use throughout the British Empire.
