2020 Germania Beasts – Fafnir 2oz .9999 Ultra High Relief Silver Coin

To highlight the impressiveness of the Fafnir dragon, Germania Mint has created the special edition – Germania Beasts Fafnir 2 oz silver coin – the 2oz coin of 99.99% silver with ultra double high relief – 4 mm on the obverse and 2 mm on the reverse. The image of the Fafnir dragon has been raised and covered with the new special effect – Chameleon – the coating that makes dragon’s skin shimmer in different colours depending on the lighting.

The obverse & reverse story

The coin design has been precisely planned and created by Natalia Danysz. The idea used in this project is very rarely used in the numismatic world. Seemingly two separate displays compose one integral part. The Fafnir’s visualisation has been created in a way, where two parts of its body placed on obverse and reverse of one coin, together create the image of a dragon in the shape of the infinity sign. To see this effect, the coin needs to be flipped or two coins can be placed together, the obverse above the reverse.

The integral part of Germania series is the symbol of the two-headed eagle. On the Fafnir coins, the eagle is located on the reverse, encircled by the dragon’s tail.

The Fafnir dragon is the legend and we are convinced that our Fafnir will be legendary!

Packaging

Exceptional coins deserve luxury packaging. Each Germania Beasts – Fafnir 2 oz silver coin is accompanied with personal packaging, which secures and completes the set. Stunning, specially designed and engraved acrylic glass display with a real wood stand combined with the coin create a unique set that can be placed in a visible spot and admired continuously. The stand is secured in the Qureco – specially designed eco carton box.

All Germania coins are accompanied by a CoA. The CoA included in each set provides all the necessary information and guarantees the coins value.
