2021 €10 Malta Knights of the Past 2oz .9999 Antiqued Silver High Relief Coin – 10 Euro

Knights of the Past is the first commemorative coin created through close cooperation between the Central Bank of Malta and Germania Mint. This issue will start a series of unique bullion coins, which in a modern way refer to the traditions of the Order of Malta. The collection will be the result of a collaboration, combining superior minting and precious metals quality, with the artistic vision, marketing and distribution of both institutions.

The 2021 Malta Knights of the Past 2oz .9999 Antiqued Silver High Relief Coin has an extremely limited world wide mintage of 999.

DESIGN

The reverse depicts the Knights of Malta in full armour on horseback in a battle array, with the famous Verdala Palace in the background. The monetary denomination of 10 Euro is displayed as well as the coins namesake “KNIGHTS OF THE PAST” presented at the top. The knight that is in the foreground has a gilded sword.

The obverse presents the Malta national coat of arms on a shield, held by a Maltese knight. The knight is in full armour with a chain mail pattern on the background. The coins weight, purity and 2021 year-date can be seen as well as “Malta” at the top.

Each coin is high reliefed and has been individually antiqued, each coin also has its unique serial number etched onto the bottom of the coin.

PRESENTATION

Each individual coin is presented in a protective capsule inside of a customised and thematic acrylic glass display.
