2022 Australia’s Coat of Arms – New South Wales 1oz .999 Silver Bullion Coin
These coins are the second release in the Royal Australian Mint’s Australia’s Coat of Arms series with two new coins inspired by the NSW Coat of Arms. The exquisite gold and silver investment are ladened with symbolism reflecting Australia and the United Kingdom and each coin is inscribed with the motto “Newly risen, how brightly you shine”.
The Royal Australian Mint introduced a brand-new investment coin series in 2021 to celebrate Australia’s Coat of Arms. The first release featured the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, with this years release dedicated to the New South Wales Coat of Arms, granted by King Edward VII in 1906. The coins detailed design is layered with historic meaning but given a contemporary interpretation.
Struck by Royal Australian Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver, the coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 and has a mintage of 50,000.
DESIGN
The coin’s reverse is undeniably Australian and features a kangaroo, Merino sheep, wheat and the Waratah – the floral emblem for NSW. Surrounding the NSW banner is each states’ floral emblems while the rays of the rising sun are depicted as stylised wattle.
The obverse features Jody Clarks effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the lion and pointed stars from the NSW Coat of Arms. The British Cross divides the background, which includes eight British Tudor roses.

Each coin is presented in a protective capsule. Multiples of 10 are presented in a sealed roll.
